INTRODUCTION: Life Is a Gift

Life is a gift

I was watching a Will Smith motivational video on YouTube and I came to the conclusion that he is one hell of a smart guy. He knows that life is a gift and he knows that what he gets from this life is directly proportional to what he puts in. Like me, he doesn't agree with the term 'realistic' , what can be classified as realistic after all? It's doubtful that before electricity was figured out that people saw the possibility of it as 'realistic' , the same with cars, light, 3D television... the list is endless. Keep that in mind when people tell you that your dreams or your positive thinking is not 'realistic.' Our reality is whatever we decide it to be, what we choose to accept, what we put effort in to create... the only limitation any of us face is our own minds.

Anyway,

One of his many quotes that I particularly liked was "There's no reason to have a Plan B, because it distracts from Plan A."
Is true, no?

The problem that most of us face is that we allow that destructive force called fear to get in the way, it is destructive because we beat ourselves up about it, we deem things 'too good to be true' to prevent the risk of getting hurt, we make up excuses about why we cannot accomplish something and then we end up miserable, no? But that's okay because at least we are safe, guaranteed we have that undying sense that something is missing, but we are 'safe' from the risk of failure because we haven't challenged ourselves, because we haven't started taking the steps to achieve our dreams, and most of us who have started do it half-heartedly without worrying about it too much because there's always a 'Plan B' right? We've convinced ourselves that settling is the smart thing to do.

Personally I'd rather fail in doing something that I love than succeed in something that I've settled for.

Here's the link to the video I watched, hope it inspires you as much as it has me:
